In ’10, $25 million was spent to purchase her name and likeness, and last year Monroe ranked #3 on the list of top-earning dead celebrities with $27 million, behind only Elvis and Michael Jackson. Her JFK birthday dress sold for $1.26 million while the one from the Seven Year Itch, $5.6 million.
