INDEXED EXCELLENCE

While index funds give investors nothing more than the market return, that return is stellar. Over a 1-year period, just 21% of managed funds beat their benchmark index. The longer the holding period, the worse the managers do. Over a 5-year time frame, only 16% of managed funds outperform, over a decade it’s 10%, and over 15 years, a miniscule 7% exceed their benchmark. Don’t try to beat the market.
