lunch box In 2000, the labor force participation rate peaked at 67.3%. The men’s rate was 74.9%; the women’s rate was 60.3%. Today, the overall rate is 62.7%, for men it is 69% and for women it’s 56.7%. By 2047, the rate is projected to decline to just 59.2%, with the women’s rate expected to be just slightly lower than now at 56%, while the men’s rate will fall substantially to 62%.
