Thaler’s research in behavioral economics incorporates psychology and the awareness that people are irrational in relatively consistent ways to improve decision making. His research has resulted in automatic enrollment in savings programs and other “nudging” applications. Thaler is also a movie star, appearing as himself in the movie “The Big Short.” A great choice!
